Who is Sharon Currie anyway? You and your agent will spend a lot of time together so its beneficial to know who the person is behind the license. My husband and I have been together almost 30 years. We have four grown children and 9 grandkids. In the early 2000’s and beyond, I was a top producing agent in Santa Barbara County, specializing in the Santa Ynez Valley, selling everything from manufactured homes, to tract homes, mid level properties, luxury estates, ranches and vineyards. My clients have been every day good folks to well known celebrities and everything in between.. I have had listings so inexpensive they were sold in the Penny Saver and so amazingly unique and gorgeous, they were listed and sold via the Mansions division of the Wall Street Journal. Literally, I have done it all in residential type properties.
Then it was time for a new chapter and new adventures. After looking in other states and locations, we stumbled on this hidden gem in Northern California. We didn’t have to leave California after all to get what we wanted. We purchased our home here 11 years ago or so, after living in the Santa Barbara county since the early 70’s. We were seeking a beautiful next stage of life location without having to give up any conveniences or hobbies and we found that here. As you can see from my photos on the right, my passions are my horses, dogs and gardening. Mary I have had for about 15 years and rode extensively for most of that time. She is 25 now and retired. Chance is a rescue we picked up from a bad situation. We think he is somewhere in his 30’s and lives the cushy retired life here with us now. My dogs Jax, Leela, Bryn and Abby make for loads of fun and companionship. I am a Master Gardener with the Nevada County Chapter. When I’m not working, I’m here with the dogs, horses, garden and my enabler of all crazy ideas, my husband Chuck.
This is all to say, I’m down to earth, level headed, stable and really, I just love living here having the life I always wanted. My guess is, you want the same thing. A quite life, in a beautiful place with nice folks and a community you can either be a part of, or instead be a hermit if you want. Any lifestyle works here.
Beyond all that, after all these years, I still love my job. I don’t need to stay at the top of the leader board anymore and instead focus on helping people. Because really at the end of the day, each buyer and seller has a problem to be solved and I enjoy solving problems. Buyers need a place to live. Sellers need to move on. People in tight spots need guidance and to be heard. Those inheriting homes need help navigating an alien landscape. These are all just problems that have solutions and I look forward to helping people find solutions. I hope you will allow me to help you.
